It is our responsibility as teachers to produce highly motivated students who will grow up to become productive citizens. In order to motivate students to engage in their education and learning, the subjects that you teach have to have connnections to things that they enjoy or have an interest in. We, as teachers, are really only there to guide the student in their endeavor to learn. It is our job to let them discover the world around them in a safe environment, and to provide every possible means to accomplish this goal.
